What Is a Prosthodontist?
Prosthodontics is the field of dentistry that involves restoring and replacing teeth and related structures and is one of twelve specialties recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA). A prosthodontist is a specialist with three additional years of training after dental school and who focuses specifically on these areas.
In addition to earning a Doctorate of Dental Medicine, Dr. Robert Holland completed an additional three years of study and training to receive accreditation in prosthodontics.
While every prosthodontist is an accredited dentist, only three percent of dentists have earned the right to be called a prosthodontist.
